Dark-IRC is now SSL ONLY!

Dark-IRC is now an SSL connect only network. We no longer accept regular IRC connections. The idea has been toyed with for a while, by both members and Opers / Admin. Today we took the decision to implement the changes.

Hardware Failure

The Dark-IRC website is back online. We apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused during downtime. Our dedicated server that hosted both the network site and a leaf server, eclipse, went down due to a hardware failure. Mike, the server admin decided to kill the account. This wasn't the first time we have experienced downtime with this company. eclipse will return, watch this space for updates!.

Server Maintenance

Echelon.Dark-IRC.Net will go down tonight for approximately 24 hours. We are moving the IRCd to a more stable host. The timeframe is to allow for the DNS to propogate. Unfortunately we are suffering netsplits on a daily basis. This will no longer be tolerated. We will move Echelon to Gige to sit along with our hub and other leaf exc0n. This will result in greater stability for the network. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause during outage..
